Murchison Regional Vermin Council Exclusion Fencing
The Murchison Regional Vermin Council (MRVC) oversees the crucial rehabilitation of Western Australia's historic No. 1 vermin fence, extending over 552km to protect the region's agricultural lands from wild dog invasions. Initiated in 1907 to control rabbit populations, today's efforts focus on mitigating the severe impact of wild dogs on the local sheep and cattle industries, which suffer losses exceeding $45 million annually. Southern Wire's collaboration has yielded over 550km of advanced exclusion fencing, revitalizing the pastoral community and substantially reducing wild dog numbers, securing a sustainable future for Murchison's livestock operations.

Narrabri Airport Aerodrome Fencing
The Narrabri Airport, a crucial hub in NSW's Namoi Valley, faced significant wildlife hazards that compromised the safety of its operations. To address this, the airport, in partnership with Southern Wire, implemented a state-of-the-art aerodrome fencing solution. The custom-designed 17/180/15 Fastlock with a 30cm Barbed Hinged Apron and 240cm galvanised star pickets now successfully prevents kangaroos and other wildlife from entering the runway area, aligning with CASA regulations and securing funding through the Regional Airports Funding Program. Five years post-installation, wildlife-related incidents have plummeted by 90%, dramatically enhancing safety and operational efficiency at Narrabri Airport.

Pace Farms, located in Gloucester, NSW, has significantly enhanced its operations with a comprehensive 13km poultry fencing project designed by Southern Wire. Thenford Equine Fencing
Thenford Farm, nestled in Exeter, NSW, is transitioning into a premier thoroughbred racehorse facility, undergoing a major upgrade with a 10km state-of-the-art equine fencing installation by Southern Wire. Focused on creating a world-class equestrian center, the farm required durable and safe fencing to protect and manage up to 140 horses across over 70 paddocks. Southern Wire's HorseFence, featuring high-tensile line wires and small aperture openings, provides a secure environment that absorbs impacts and prevents injuries, making it an ideal choice for the facility's rigorous needs. Sunraysia Water Efficiency Project
The Sunraysia Water Efficiency Project (SWEP), led by Lower Murray Water and funded by the Australian Government, aims to upgrade outdated water infrastructure in Mildura's irrigation districts, enhancing water delivery and agricultural productivity. For this project, fencing contractor Joel from Jimmons Ag Services chose Southern Wire for its flexibility and ability to meet specific fencing requirements, leading to the successful installation of 4.5 kilometres of fencing, which is nearing completion and will greatly improve the water management efficiency in the region.
